Welcome to the Scout BSA Troop 201 website

Scout BSA Troop 201 is chartered by and meets at New Providence Church on the border of Fayetteville & Peachtree City, GA. We believe in the "Boy Led" leadership principle of Scouting in which the boys lead the troop, plan the events and elect their own leadership. By granting autonomy, giving respect, bestowing responsibility and encouraging leadership, we have become one of the fastest growing troops in the Council. Our scouts are Prepared for Life™.  Read the "About Us" section to learn more about our troops membership requirements. 

How Do I Join Scouts BSA Troop 201?

Scout BSA Troop 201 is for boys ages 11 - 17 (Grades 5 - 12). For more information please feel free to come to a scout meeting or drop the Scout Master an email at: scoutmaster@ptctroop201.org

 

 

 

Wreaths Across America - Saturday, Dec. 13th!

The Troop has been invited to participate in the National Wreaths Across America Day ("Wreaths Day") to be held this year on December 13, 2025 (Wreath Placement Immediately following ceremony)! Yes….this is the same morning after the Stone Lodge/Waffle House overnight! If your old Scoutmaster can attend, so can you! Sleep is overrated anyway.

Here is a personal note from Geralyn Daniel about Wreaths day: 

Dear Mr. Bird, Please invite all of your Boy Scouts to come out on Saturday, December 13th to help us lay wreaths on veterans graves. The ceremony starts at Noon so be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early. Hope to see you there! Geralyn Daniel.

Troop Court of Honor - Sunday, November 16th, 3-4:00pm

Sunday afternoon at 3PM on November 16 the Troop will hold our Fall Court of Honor!

We will recognize all the achievements the scouts have earned since May.

Veteran's Day Celebration - Flag Ceremony - Sunday, Nov. 9th

New Providence Church Leadership has asked for Troop representation on Sunday, Nov. 9th, for their Veterans Day celebration presentation.

The church leadership is asking for scouts to present the colors this Sunday at New Providence Church.
